Windchill Security Problems: Sometimes a user may not be able to launch Windchill Specific apps, specifically Java apps, and Product View. This is often because, by default, IE blocks them. To unblock and allow the user access, you need to do the following sequence of actions do this was as follows: You need to log onto the computer as someone who is an administrator on the computer. launch windchill and do the following things: From the internet browser's toolbar select Tools --> Pop-up blocker --> Pop-Up blocker Settings --> add plm.bdk.com to the list of allowed sites next from windchill you need to select the Home tab --> utillites --> Security Settings --> allow all access. (The reason we need to do this is by default Internet explorer blocks most of Windchill's extra capabilitys) Next you need to go to some drawing that is viewable in Product View and attempt to launch the drawing to view. You will be prompted with various security settings, Select accept or unblock to all of them. After this is complete Product View should launch. next do the same with a Part and try and launch Product Structure Explorer. You will be prompted with various security settings, Select accept or unblock to all of them. After this is complete Product Structure explorer should launch.
